My son is in Pre-K right now, but I've decided to begin homeschooling him the next school year. DH is in agreement with me. I am just now getting started trying to get whatever information that  I can on it. I live in Louisiana. Can anyone help give me any info. you can on the laws and such? Thanks so much!

I too live in Louisiana (deep south!) and the state is really good regarding homeschooling.  pretty much all you have to do is once a year send in a letter of intent to hs and they return it to you stamped and that is it!  If you live in south Louisiana, Lafayette Parish on down I could connect you with several hsing groups. Also a GREAT  forum for ALL hsers is Homeschool Spot!  I have been a member of that forum for years and has really helped sooooo much!  Good luck and feel free to pm me with any questions!

Even if you are not christian they have some great information on getting started. We started homeschooling in 1st grade and we are currently doing 5th. I wish we had done kindgergarten as well, that is such a fun age.
