The battles took place in the Florida swamps, in the Midwest, and on the Western Plains, at a time when our nation was expanding rapidly. Lands were seized and thousand of people were killed or made captive in the name of progress. These stories are a part of the long struggle for human liberty in out country--as well as tragic chapters in the history of the first Americans.
