I enjoyed this look back at the past to a somewhat simpler time. My own father was 12 years old in 1942 and he's gone now, so I felt like I was hearing about his life, in a way, since the author/narrator was 9 years old in 1942. Charles Osgood tells about what he was doing, thinking, seeing in 1942 Baltimore during the start of WWII in America. Very enjoyable listening.
