Published in 1992, a trilogy of stories by Kay Hooper, Iris Johansen & Fayrene Preston, three of my favorite mystery /romantic suspense writers. The stories center around the Delaney clan, well plotted and crafted to entrall the reader !
Fun Holiday Read! Each Author weaves different members of the Delaney family through the Holiday theme. Though you can easily feel the three different voices of the lead Delaney, it was appropriate for the characters. You feel the character's voice through the change in the authors. Very, very enjoyable!
This book was unique in that it took you through many generations of a family entwined with a magical mirror. Of course, there is murder, mystery, intrique and romance provided by each author in this anthology. The scenry sounds beautiful.
With no disrespect to the authors, I found the first story to be kinda boring, and not my cup of tea. It dragged on, and that is why I only gave the book 3 stars. I prefer more contemporary romances, and this one was not quite regency, but close.
This book has three fun romances by three spellbinding story tellers. The book starts out with an young woman who is both Irish and Gypsy, who has come to America in the 1800's, in search of a magic mirror that could well tell her future. In the second story, which takes place in the present, one of her great granddaughter's finds the mirror. It shows her visions of both her past and future. The mirror is said to never be wrong in it's visions. In the third story we are taken to the Delaney's in future generations. One woman will do all she can to change the tragic vision she see's in the mirror.
