Anyone notice mail is a bit slow these days? I had to go toPost Officec today and the wait was 35 mins+, thte PO workers were great and upbeat but said that there will be delays for about a week. |

There might be longer lines at the PO, but there should not be any delays for your packages. All the extra volume is letter and flat(large envelope) size. There is no additional volume in the packages this time of year. |

Most people do taxes online now, I can't imagine tax season backs up the post office anymore - at least not badly. That being said, my mail is slow as well. I have 3 packages coming to me that were scanned as delivered on Saturday, and I still don't have them. |

Yikes Bren, my packages are scanned 'delivered' at my mailbox. If yours don't arrive in tomorrow's mail, I'd call your post office...several days should be plenty. Last Edited on: 4/14/10 3:38 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I have two books to mail today and I will NOT be going to the PO today! They will have to wait until Friday! |

I visited my local post office this morning to mail a book, and it was totally not busy. I stood and visited with the PM for about 10 minutes, and one person came in while I was there. He was mailing taxes, but still, one person every ten minutes is not going to be too hard to deal with. Of course it is a small small town.
The post office where I work, 4 miles down the road, makes tax forms available to the public. In the past, I would have to reorder forms when the original supplies ran low. This year, I still have half of the original supply left. There just are not that many people doing hard-copy tax returns any more. |

I went on the 15th as well and it wasn't any busier than normal. |
