Many people accumulate credits over a SwapaDVD & SwapaCD where the shipping costs are considerably less.  If they sell them here, even at such low prices they are still making almost double.  If they ship multiples in one shipment, they make even more per credit.

Because they have a lot of credits and don't have any books they want to order.  Pat

Or, they have a lot of credits and can use the money for something else. I've sold credits to help cover postage for shipping troop support packages, to add to the Christmas fund and when we were hit with an unexpected expense.

For that matter, a SwapDVD credit is worth 2 PBS credits.  Which makes me happy, because I am much more successful in using credits here than at SwapDVD.

Its actually a 2:3 conversion, not a 1:2. 2 SwapADVD credits convert to 3 PBS credits.

The SwapACD credits are 1:1 with PBS.

Yes, I have quite a build-up of PBS credits thanks to SwapaDVD and SwapaCD, almost 100. Plus with at least 60 books in my TBR pile, many of them wish listed, I will be offering some for sale soon. I will never use all the 100 myself. I donate credits evey once in a while or I get books for my sister-in-law but that's about it.

I'd rather convert them to money to use to buy other books or DVDs!
