I read a book several years ago that was really, really good and I want to read it again.  It is about a man who comes home from work and finds his wife has been murdered, stabbed many times in the neck.  I remember the author used the phrase 'necklace of stab wounds.'  There was a large ham set out to thaw in the kitchen sink.  His little boy has also been killed and is found under the bed.  (The husband was NOT the killer.)  This book does not go into a lot of background on the victims...in the style of Ann Rule, for example.  In fact, I don't think there was any background info at all...the book just started from the murders and moved forward from there.  The book had photos.  I am driving myself crazy trying to remember the name of the book.  Please PM me if you have any ideas.  Thank you!

Question has been answered, it was Deadly Deception by Alva Busch.  Thanks!
