The PBS Delivery Confirmation Map

• The map shows your book's progress from point to point en route to its destination.
• Each time the barcode is scanned, a dot will be recorded on the map.
  • Clicking on a dot will provide information about that "waypoint".
• The little truck "drives" at a steady pace, beginning on the day the sender marked the book mailed
  • It will keep driving until USPS scans the barcode to tell the truck where your book is.
  • Then the truck's position will "correct" to reflect the latest scan information
• Click the truck for a surprise!

1. WHAT DOES "Click fhe truck for a surprise!" MEAN? NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN I CLICK THE TRUCK!

2. ALSO WANT TO REMIND THAT AFTER LEAVING THE LOCAL PO THE LITTLE TRUCK DRIVES AT A STEADY PACE AUTOMATICALLY JUST UNTIL IT IS SCANNED AGAIN AND THEN IS CORRECTED TO REFLECT THE ACTUAL WAYPOINTS. I RECENTLY HAD A BOOK LOST IN THE MAIL. THE LITTLE TRUCK TRAVELED ALL THE WAY TO ITS DESTINATION BUT IN ACTUALITY THERE WERE NO WAYPOINTS SHOWN AND IT MAY NEVER HAVE BEEN SCANNED AFTER LEAVING MY PO. NO WAY FOR PO TO TRACK IT IF IT WAS NOT SCANNED ALONG THE WAY!

The truck is a fun little gimmick, but not meant  to show detailed and accurate destination / book tracking.  A "just for fun" thing on the site.

Turn up the volume on your sound when you click on the little truck icon and you can hear it beep its horn!

Actually, the times I've checked, the "waypoints" weren't where the book was scanned at all.  Sianeka's right in that it is just for fun.

Yes, I do check the details for tracking but guess I just misunderstood about the little truck's travels! And yes - the little fun things that pop up on pbs are great! I am so glad to be a part of it all!

The truck drives straight over water and right through mountains.  Do not trust the truck.
