There used to be an option to send books with delivery confirmation. What happened? It disappeared.

It still prints our a tracking number & bar code if you used printed postage.Is that the same thing?

should be. write down the tracking number and after you mail wait a day or two and you can put that number into the usps tracking indicator gizmo and you will see some scans on it if it is working. |

The tracking that prints out on printed postage is the same as the Delivery Confirmation that you used to be able to print out separately. It's not necessary to keep the number and track it on the USPS website - you can find the number and track it right on the PBS transaction by clicking the details button. We used to be able to buy the tracking only, and add the postage. This option was discontinued by the post office. PBS was forced to stop it. |

Tracking without printable postage (I used to use this option alot) is no longer available due to USPS issues.
