Do you regularly purchase the "Delivery Confirmation" from PBS?

I sent a nice book out over a month ago, which never arrived, and is now considered lost.

I guess that happens once in a while, but just wondering if  it  is  common in your experience, and do you think it is worth the extra money to always pay for the "Delivery Confirmation".

I don't generally purchase DC or postage from PBS.  I realize that they get a cut of this, but I would rather buy BOB or donate credits back for the most part.  I do use paypal for postage, and DC is required with this...so I use it, but have never had a book go lost that I have mailed out, knock on wood.  For the most part, I think DC, unless you are using PBS DC/postage, is a waste of $$.  I use paypay strictly for the convenience.

I never did, and then sent out a hard to find Star Wars book that never arrived. I've used DC since then.   I think it's worth the .27cents.  I bought  $20 worth and I've still got over $10 to spend, it's lasted what seems like forever!   I think for me, the piece of mind goes a long way.

I always buy dc, I think the extra money it costs is worth the peace of mind it offers that you won't lose a credit over a lost book.

I always buy DC and just started buying postage here, as well, so I can get the "quick credit"  for me it's worth it and I'm sure books arrive :)

I don't buy it and luckily have not had a book go lost just yet.  I know it helps support the site but I'd rather pay a flat fee/donation than be nickled and dimed to death

I've gotten so I always buy it.  I actually had a book with DC on it go lost (showed as delivered but never marked received), but was still able to get my credit because I used DC.  I think the fee is a small price to pay for peace of mind!

I started buying DC when i started using the printable postage function. I'm glad i did. I had a box  I sent with 9 books go missing( I had a 3 for 1 deal), and because i had used DC, I kept the credits.

I didn't at first, but now use it on all books I send unless I really don't care if I get a credit or not. The little fee is worth getting my credit for a book I send in case the PO doesn't get it there or the receiver doesn't mark it rec'd.

I always use PBS-DC now.  I've experienced a lost book here and one at another site.  It is definitely worth the peace of mind.
