Demon picks up almost 15 years after the events of Wizard with Cirocco leading an open revolt against Gaea, the only Titan in communication with humans. World War III is breaking out all over Earth, with nuclear proliferation having reached a level that is _insane_. Pilgrims are now rare, but refugees are not.
Gaea's realm now has a huge anarchic shanty town called Bellinzona in one of the twilight realms. From there Cirocco begins her campaign to deal with Gaea.
Demon is entertaining. Really. This was written after Varley's time in Hollywood and it gets vicious in spots. And that makes it funny as hell. Another one worth the time and energy to read folks.
