Denise Riley (born 1948 in Carlisle, Cumberland, England) is professor of Literature with Philosophy, a philosophical linguist, critical theorist, and poet. Her interests are art, poetry, intellectual history and the philosophy of language. She has written and edited a number of books and several works of poetry.She is not related to the poet Peter Riley.
