True story of an honest man, tired of the violence and corruption in his homeland of Colombia, who seizes the opportunity to rid his country of the uberviolent drug lord Pablo Escobar. In doing so, he entangles himself in what he considers the legitimate side of the competing Cali cartel. Soon he finds himself trapped in a world of drugs and violence that he wants no part of. To leave would mean death for him and his family. His only way out is to bring the cartel down. This fascinating true story reads like a novel; a Colombian Godfather. Rich in detail, it provides a "fly on the wall" view of the inner workings of some of the worlds most notorious and violent drug cartels. Couldn't put it down.
