Sad, interesting story about Haitian immigrants and those they leave behind. Very thought provoking. Beautifully written -- lovely language and believeable characters.

If you've liked Danticat's other books, you'll love this one. Interesting premise, really pushes you to think about the personal v. the political and the nature (& limitations) of forgiveness. This is my favorite of her books, but still not quite my cup of tea.
