I used to be a real fan of Monty Python's Flying Circus, but time marches on and what once cracked me up is a little tedious the second or third time viewed. I could watch the few episodes of "Fawlty Towers" over and over (and I have), but a lot of the "Circus" gets tiresome in reruns.

Speaking of tedious and tiresome, let's to consider Palin's diaries. The title is a model of truth in advertising - that's what you get, verbatim entries from Palin's diaries, which may have been endlessly fascinating to him. Not so much for me; I don't really care what the crew had for lunch one day in 1969.

I only got through the first 6 tracks of the first cd; things might liven up further along, but my remaining life span is too short and precious, and there are too many good books I'm dying to tread and re-read.
