Do books that you post directly to a buddy (or basically anyone directly) NOT via FIFO not show up in the Wish List hold tab? I just posted a bunch this morning, and 3 were posted directly to people, 1 was via FIFO. Only the FIFO one shows up in my "Wish List hold" tab, even though when I check my bookshelf, they are all on hold with the little exclamation point. Just curious.

Randomly, I'm such a dork. I had 2 books of a WL series. I posted the first and then figured I'd check the WL of the person it went to to see if she wanted #2 as well as #1. When I scrolled the WL, I didn't see it on there, so I posted #2 to the FIFO as well. Until I realized I'd checked her bookshelf instead of her WL! No wonder it wasn't on there. It indeed WAS on her WL. Unfortunately, I do not think she was in the #1 spot for both books. What would you do here? Cancel (when they're accepted) the one book so you could post both to the same person to save on shipping? Or just take it as your error and grant both people their wishes?

If the person you posted to had the books on AutoRequest, they go to one-hour buyer's remorse before they show up as pending transactions on the "My Account" page.  These don't show up in Wish List hold.

Yep, that's just that one-hour remorse thing--after the hour has passed, it will show up on both of your accounts in the appropriate tabs.

As to the issue with FIFO vs posting directly, I think I would personally let it go as is since you already posted it to someone else. Certainly it's your book to do with as you wish, but I know that personally I have had cancellations such as you describe for a book I was #1 in line for and had waited a LONG time, with a pm saying, "Sorry, I meant to post this to a buddy, I'm sure you'll get it soon." (Uh-huh. Still waiting.) I don't mind people bypassing FIFO, I respect people's right to do that--and have done it myself sometimes. I just don't want to KNOW about it when it's me at #1 and not getting the book. LOL

I like to also post to someone when I'm already sending them a WL book. I always check.  I post the 1st one to FIFO and then frequently have another book I can post them in the same genre.  I always PM first just incase theya re out of credits. But if one accidentally went to FIFO then I'd tell the other person what happened and let it go to the FIFO person.

It looks like the person the book went to is no longer a member or one of those ones PBS will weed out (hasn't posted or WL a book since March). So my hope is that the person who already accepted one of the books will be next in line for it and I'll hold out the 2 days to see. It's too bad there's no way to cancel when it's in limbo waiting (my guess is this one will time out after 48 hours and go on to the next person). It's my own error, so I'd probably agree with Mary and let the rightful person have it.
