Ok - I distinctly remember receiving a book a couple of months ago.  It was a sequal to one I also ordered from PBS.  I remember getting the first one as a freebie a very nice member had sent with one I ordered, and I had ordered the sequal by itself - this was in August when both books came.

So the next time I was on the computer (a couple of days later) - I marked it and a couple of other books I'd ordered that weren't related as received.

So a few weeks ago, I finally got around to reading the first one.  But now I can't find the sequal ANYWHERE.  I've looked all over!!

So just to double check my memory I thought  - "Well, I'll check the DC and that way at least I'll know it's here."

Low and behold, the DC doesn't show any activity after the USPS being notified the book was *going* to be shipped.  No other scans are logged and the delivery isn't logged.

So is my memory failing?  Or is the USPS failing to scan the DC altogether?  Not sure what to do with this one - it's VERY wierd!!   Any ideas - has the USPS often failed to scan a book after the notification that it was going to be shipped came in?  If not, and if it looks like my memory is failing, how on earth do I handle when I marked it received?

I'm not trying to get free credits or anything - I promise the USPS just has that first notification in there.  It's just such a cooincidence that I can't find the very book that the USPS messed up on - or did they?  So while I'm going crazy - I just thought I'd ask to see if this happens a lot or if it's something I should persue or not - it's just really wierd....

Ok - just read another member saying the USPS sometimes doesn't scan after the notification at all - so I am again solid in my confidence of my sanity and will just ...  keep looking!

Yep- Keep looking. It is not uncommon for the USPS to not scan the DC. I've sent and received many books that were never scanned. Good luck on finding your book!!!!!
