I use my public library audio book system a lot and they use overdrive for their books. The chick lit selection is dismal...I just did  a search on about 20 authors from the "what have you read" thread and found maybe 3 authors. I know each library selects what books to include in their system so I guess chick lit is not as popular here. Wonder if it is because we are in the Bible Blet??

I have 3 libraries and the selections are different at each one. One library welcomes recommendations while the other 2 I don't think care! Chick Lit is hard to find I think even on the shelves..I'm in the Bible Belt too but never thought about that being the reason..mine has some spicy romances though not erotica. I'm not sure who orders but I got the feeling my overdrive selections are geared towards general fiction/light romance and lots of children's selections...I'm thinking (though haven't asked!) that maybe htey're thinking kids and older adults are the ones using audio?? maybe??

I'm listening to the 1st "in death' book by J.D. Robb right now while surfing the 'net..was sewing earlier and listening ot it but had to go to the library with the better selection (Harris County) to find a large selection of this series..one of the 3 libraries only  had a few titles and another had none...Nora Roberts was 3 pages with Harris County but only 2 at one library! I mean, she's pretty popular with romance/fiction/'light suspense fans..sorta 'all around' and only 2 available??

and no chick lit at all that i can think of.
