Set in the 12th century the heroine is a Coroner, think Scarpetta in medival conditions! Very good historical details, Henry II and Eleanor of Aquataine. Solving crimes using the tools of the time,she is a trained Doctor out of Italy. My only complaint...her books are too short!

Mistress of the Art of Death

Serpants Tale

havent read this last one yet;

Grave Goods

Thanks for the news. All of her previous Ariana books have been a case of 'I'll just read a bit before I go to bed, and the next thing I know, it's 3 AM.' Has anyone here read any of the historicals she's written as Diana Norman?

"Mistress of the Art of Death" is actually one of Diana Gabaldon's recommended reads while we wait for "Echo in the Bone" to come out :-)

Thanks for posting this!  I read Mistress of the Art of Death quite some time ago, but didn't know there was a sequel.
