There are alpha males and then there are some that go overboard. This guy jumped ship, he was just too much. He's the equivalent to the heroines I don't like because their too b****y. Other than that, the story was a tale of reunited sweethearts that had to make a go of marriage due to a one night thing that both didn't want to be one night things. Unfortunately, he just couldn't get over it. This was a series romance, and they aren't as long as a regular novel, so should I cut a little slack for a story not being so detailed? Back history not in depth? Probably. This was an okay Christmas read, not one to keep for next year.

Great sexual tension and character development in this story of second chances. The backdrop of New Orleans lends to a wonderful Christmas theme. I enjoyed the story from beginning to end!!
I must say, I liked this book far better than the last reviewer did. Yes, he is an "alpha male," and his reason for revenge against Sarah Rose is slim... but he feels she hurt him back when they were mere teenagers. The story has enough depth to see this and to be truly sweet in the final outcome.
Anyhow... aren't "alpha males" the staple of Desire novels?
