I thought the story was interesting and a bit different, but the writing style was ridiculously annoying. The way the author kept interrupting the flow of the story with Shannon/Rhea's sidebar comments was obnoxious, and it wouldn't have been so bad if the comments were at least amusing or insightful, but they just ended up sounding forced and trite. While I would like to know what happens in the other books in the series, I will be satisfied to find a synopsis of them online then to put myself through hearing Shannon/Rhea's annoying voice.
