Interesting accounts from an animal behavorist/psychologist - lots of info in this book and lots of anecdotes to illustrate the findings.

Book is written from a scientific standpoint, not really a \"dog story\" kinda book. Good read though for those of us trying to understand our four footed family members.

There are a lot of good tips in this book but all of the case studies are extreme cases. It is hard to get past the incompetent owners and the horrible things that occur in their dogs' lives. Every behavioral problem does not require drugs yet there is not a single chapter where he does not advocate using them.

I really liked this book. I am such an animal lover and anything that I can learn about our four legged friends will capture my interest. It is a very informative and heartwarming book. I recommend it highly!
