I'm not a reader of poetry. I downloaded this volume as an e-book because I was looking for something short that I could read in waiting rooms. Going by the title, I thought it would be a volume of humorous essays. I was wrong! I went through the book very quickly. I'm not sure if I want to comfort the author or tell her to suck it up. My hope is that the poetry is a form of therapy that is healing for her. God knows, if the poems reflect her reality, she needs healing.
