Nope. . . I'm still just shy of 5k. My story developed this really pretty structure, where each chapter is almost entirely a self-sufficient story of its own -- except that meant that I'm forced to write a good climax around page 15, when in all my other stories on page 15 I was still just doing set-up! It's like pulling teeth every time I sit down. . . but I'm almost done with the chapter, then I get to write another nice beginning. :)

I'm seriously floundering.  I think it's time for me to admit that I have much more pressing priorities (grad school) and just give it up. I haven't had time to write in over a week.

I doing pretty well...I'm just about on pace (when I updated last night I was a few words past the target number for the 11th) and I'm "feeling" the story. It's coming along nicely. So far, so good.

This is pretty much where I am.  I think this year was just bad timing for me and trying to do it was crazily overambitious.  The web comic I was asked to do is coming along well, however, so no loss overall.

I'm about at 29k, hoping to hit 30 tonight. I'm blessed to be in an area with some very competitive writers, they keep me going. I tend to put some of my weird dreams into my story. I do not advocate the use of benadryl to aid in word count, but if you happen to have seasonal allergies, well...

I just started on my novel. It's about a German female prostitute who loses a necklace her mother gave her before WW2. She spends the rest of the novel searching for it. There are many people she meets along the way.
