I really enjoyed reading this book. It uses gorgeous pictures of actual Native American dolls and sculptures, along with both full-color landscape photos and archived pictures, to tell a short story about each of the dolls and a how a the life of a fictional child from that culture might have received/interacted with such a doll. The stories are accompanied by nonfictional information about the culture.

Although I enjoyed this book as an adult reader, I think it would be a beautiful book to share with a child in order to appreciate the beauty of native cultures.
