This is a Step Into Reading Book: Level 2 which is typically for children in grades 1-3. For those of you using the Fountas and Pinnell reading level, it is a level J. This is a terrific non-fiction book on a popular animal for younger children.

Great book for beginning readers. My daughter really enjoyed all of the step into reading books because they were some of the first books that she could read to herself or to me.
