5-star review from amazon:

This is a GREAT book for more advanced techniques in salt dough. I looked through all available library books, online, and Amazon for the most informative book and this is it! It offers much more information than just ingredients. It's the only good source I found for techniques of browning, colors various types of flour produce, and air drying...something of importance for people like me who don't wish to spend a lot of money on oven drying for hours. Yes, most patterns are "traditional," but they are beautifully done and this is a traditional medium. What I liked the most is it gives you examples utilizing techniques that can enable you to create your own wild and crazy patterns that are either simple or more complex. It seems to me this book isn't for the person only looking for young kids' patterns. It demonstrates that you can really use this medium to create more contempory art for any age as well.

Even though this book was published in 1991 it is a must have for anyone who is interested in doing dough crafts. The information is as up to date as the newer books I have purchased and it contains so many different ideas on how to create dough crafts and many, many different projects. Beautiful projects that will last for years to come and compliment any home. Beautiful holiday crafts! If you sell your crafts this is the book to get. All of the projects are very detailed and still popular. I rate it a 9 1/2 out of 10.
