This little volume is a treasure-trove of great ideas. It is the result of 30 years of Dr. Lais study. She starts with toxins in the body. Through words and clever, color illustrations, Dr. Lai offers many ways to detox (Exercising in clean air among many trees increases circulation and is an effective means of detoxifying).

Detoxify using: (the recipes are very simple)
Fruits and veggies; plus when to take them for the most benefit,
High Potassium soup,
High Energy soup,
Wheatgrass and barley green juice (plus how to make it),
How to make your own beneficial bacteria (by making your own natural sauerkraut),
How to make Rejuvelac a convenient way to restore the health of the digestive system; adds back needed nutrients to the body.
How to get rid of kidney stones or bladder stones using fresh lemon juice!
Hand clapping exercise clapping the entire hands stimulates chi throughout the body

If the reader has experienced trauma (especially childhood rejection and physical trauma), he/she is more likely to suffer chronic illness. Dr. Lai offers some simple ways to make a difference in ones emotional health.

Lifestyle changes may be small but they reap huge changes in your quality of life. Dr. Lai explains acid vs. alkaline foods and how to combine them. Lectures Ive attended and books explaining these food combinations seem to be what we should be doing for better health.

Some of the suggestions Ive heard for years. However, there is a wealth of new information that she offers the reader for consideration and use.

Some will not like that the recipes are general (i.e.: fill the pan with a variety of . Add water to cover and allow to boil for I hour. Strain, etc.). I know people who wouldnt consider trying such a vague recipe; however I believe Dr. Lai is trying to show that health does not come from adding 2/3 (or ¼, or whatever) cup of water, but using her guidelines to create health for oneself.
