Very interesting unauthorized biography of Dr. Laura. The book was published just before the scandal about her photos being released which really added more to think about from what this book reveals. I'd be curious also for an update on the book to include the photo scandal and then how her career seemed unharmed by that.)

The book was a bit nasty in tone making me wonder why the author would have a goal to paint a person in a certain bad light? Why does a person choose to spend their time writing such a book? (Why I was reading it is an equal question to ask. I actually read it as I've heard her show and she is so opioniated and has such high morals on the show that I wondered what she was like in real life.)

It was obvious the author wants the reader to not like Dr. Laura. For one example what I perceived to be evidence of a person who works hard for success and to progressively move up and expand one's career was made to look bad or that there is something wrong with that, a notion I didn't at all "get" at all. The determination and hard work was put in a negative light like it was weird--no---it is just a good and hard work ethic!

Actually one thing I learned for the first time is that she is not a medical doctor or a psychiatrist, which is something I used to assume.
