Don Miller is an excellent writer who is not afraid to take on themes dear to our hearts yet scary to talk about. This book is intended for men who grow up without a father, but it helped me too, a women who grew up fatherless. Same fantastic writing style as Blue Lie Jazz & Through Painted Deserts. A must read for Miller fans.

my husband really liked this book. he said it was meaningful and clearly Christian, without being preachy--and that it was very funny.

In the forward, Don apologizes for not writing this book with women being part of his target audience, but I think this is a great read for absolutely any audience. It gave me a fascinating point of view and was written so brilliantly that I want to share it with everyone. It was a privilege to find this gem. Make it a priority to get your hands on this one.
