A Newbery Honor Book.
"If it were only a fantastic story of high adventure, Dragonwings would be a success, but as an exquisitely written poem of praise to the courage and industry of the Chinese-American people, it is a triumph."--The New York Times

Fine historical fiction book about Chinese and Whites in California during the 1900s San Francisco earthquake. Ends well, gentle writing, clean for kids.

It was an exciting book but I had to read it for school so it took all the enjoyment out of it. :(
