The Dreaming Suburb
Author: R.F. Delderfield
The Dreaming Suburb is the tale of an Avenue in a suburb and some of the people who lived there between the long, dry summers of 1919, when one war had just ended, and 1940 when another had just begun. It was the time when these people grew up, loved, laughed, despaired and had their being.

The Dreaming Suburb is a tale of a suburb and of some of the people in it. It spans the summer of 1919 to 1940. It was a slower time but with all the happiness and sorrow of modern times. I enjoyed it very much.
