The Drowning Room
Author: Michael Pye
In an absorbing narrative that ferries between past and present, between the Old World and the New, Pye fashions a fictional life story of a courageous, rambunctious woman living in the 17th-century settlement of New Amsterdam, based on a name which actually appears in the court records of early New York.

I thought this book was horrible. 1/2 way through I kept asking myself where the book was going. I found it confusing and not interesting at all.
