I just received 2 requests for a book on my shelf.  It looks like the same person requested the same book twice.  It looks like this person ordered two books, except it is the same book with the same ISBN.  I also received 2 e-mails.   I only have one of these books on my shelf.

Any ideas?

It sounds like a glitch or hiccup to me -- as long as both requests were from the same person, there should not be a problem. FYI, you can only have one copy of a particular ISBN on your shelf at a time.

Yup, that is a glitch.

If it is a Wish List book, you should cancel the extra request. If the requester does, it will just offer the book to the next person and you will have two different people requesting the same book.

If it is not a Wish List book, have the requester cancel one of the requests. If you cancel, it could cause that request to move on to someone else and she will have two requests for the same book out there.  If you have already cancelled one, PM the requester and tell them to double check their account page to see if there are still two requests and they should cancel the one with the more recent time stamp on it.
