This is a good book and kept me entertained! The ONLY thing I didn't like about it was the main female character, to tell you why would give away too much about the book....

from the back cover~ The body of the man lay frozen in the Alaskan wilderness for nearly 80 years, encased in a thick layer of ice, until uncovered by a lone trapper. How could hte trapper know that by excavating the corpse he might possibly doom the world? For within the frozen flesh lies a dormant danger waiting to be awakened, a highly contagious virus for which there is no known cure.

as the epidemic and the panic spread across the globe, millions will die a terrible death, their blood thickened in their veins. And one scientist will struggle to solve the riddle fo the plague, to unravel a medical mystery that threatens mankind...and to uncover a conspiracy of greed, madness and murder.

"FROM DISCOVERY...In the raging cold of an Alaskan night a trapper discovers the corpse of a man, dead--and frozen--for some 80 years. In its dead flesh lies a legacy of doom--a virus that could lay waste to half of the world's population.
TO DEVASTATION...In the hands of a twisted medical genius and a charismatic cult leader, the virus becomes an instrument of terror and mass destruction--and a means to untold wealth and power.
TO THE DYING...As the panic and the pandemic spread, millions dies a terrible death, their blood blackened and thickened. Only the growing legions of the cult they call the Church of the Redeemed seem immune. In a world gripped by fear and grief, a lone scientist struggles to discover the terrible truth behind the plague. To do so, he must unravel the terrible biological mystery that threatens mankind--and expose the ultimate conspiracy of madness, murder, and unparalleled greed."

Pretty good disaster story.
