There are a couple of threads going, I think there is even an Ebook board now.  You can't legally "trade" ebooks. But some can be leant, I think just one time, for a short period. So there are people lending them to each other.  But there are limitations.

It's illegal to burn an ebook to a disc, flash drive, PDF etc.., and then give it away or sell it.  So you can't email people books for credits, print out copies or send a CD with an ebook on it for credits.

No Melissa, it's illegal to transfer ownership of e-books.  It's my understanding some of the new e-readers have a 'lend' feature that some PBS members use on the threads to 'borrow' books from one another.  Some of the games are set up for e-book members also.

There are websites where you can borrow e-books (using the previously mentioned lend feature).  I my experience usually lend periods are only 14 days and a great deal of ebooks are not lendable these days.
