I am not sure if his stuff is considered SF or not, but that's how my library has it catalogued.  Anyway, I've never read anything by him but came across his name while searching for sci-fi/fantasy books for the swap in Games.  Has anyone read the Vampire Earth series, and would you recommend it?  I read some of the books descriptions and they sound interesting.

I've read the first four books and enjoyed them all.  The 5th is on TBR mountain.  (A 6th was released not too long ago, I believe.)  This is a series that I would suggest reading in order, as the story builds as you go along.

It is somewhat hard to classify the books in any genre.  There are elements of science fiction, post-apocalypse, horror and adventure (military/espionage).  But the author does blend them well.  He's an entertaining writer and does well with plot and character.

I would certainly recommend them!

I second Rick's recommendation.  I have read the first 3 books in the series and have 2 others on my tbr shelf.  The books are entertaining, characters interesting and the plot-line for the series I find to be very imaginative.  Pretty much what Rick has stated.  Definitely worth reading.
