I enjoyed this story. Another story of first century Christians under Roman rule with romantic twist.

Rome, the capital of the world in A.D.62, was the site of privilege and poverty, of sumptuonsness and slavery, Yet, Sara, a plain young Jewish slave with large brown eyes, who had become a Christian, is filled with more peace then her wealthy mistress Diana. Against the tableau of the twighlight of the Roman Empire-soon to be torched by the mad Nero-is a love story that transends time.

Story of Rome. Young Sara a Jewish slave has become a Christian. In her mistress Diana she sees a spark of faith. Antonius, Diana's brother is a Tribune of Rome searching for something more. Against the tableau of the twilight of the Roman Empire--soon to be torched by the mad Nero--is a love story that transcends time. Author Darlene Mindrup takes you into the past to live in the times of the Roman Empire very realistically. A VERY GOOD READ.
