The Earp Clan: The Southern California Years
The Earp Clan The Southern California Years
Author: Nicholas R. Cataldo
"It was certainly desirable to have a book on the Earp years in and around San Bernardino County after their Tombstone years. Nick Cataldo is surely the best man available to have researched that time and place. There is much compelling new information here. It should be on every Earp buff's bookshelf." Glenn G. Boyer, Earp historian and author

The copy that was shared with me for this ISBN is actually softcover. This is a very local history, centered on the Earps' residence in San Bernardino County. They relocated endlessly, for example the pater familias moved West and then back to the Midwest several times and the 'boys' worked in many different Western towns. There are many photos and the author spoke with leading local scholars of local history as well as reading what has been published. The less famous members of the family are included. This is a good choice for the bookshelf at the old soldiers' home, ideal for passing an hour or two.
