I was looking for a book with projects my 8-year-old son could do without too much assistance, and this one fits nicely. It lays out all of the materials and tools needed at the beginning of each project, gives very clear instruction, and also talks a little bit about why they are using each of the tools. The tools it recommends are all muscle-powered instead of battery or electric, which I feel is better for kids just learning to use tools. I am very glad I found this book, and so is my son.
