This was for fun and darned if it wasn't fun, tempting and added to my reading list. Its a good overview of entomophagy, recipes, anecdotes and most importantly, events and suppliers. Now, to go buy some crickets, waxworms and try some recipes...

Great book but I didn't have the nerve (partially because of a lack of grocery store quality bugs available in NYC).

If you're looking for lots of protein, small grasshoppers work, but for low carbs and high iron, the giant water beetles are the best.
