Ugh, just looking for some opinions to help me make up my mind!  I really really want a book (it isn't even listed on PBS), it's available from Amazon in both ebook and paperback.  The ebook is half the price of the paperback and it's one of those books that cost $18.99 in print which I think is expensive for a book.  However, if that book is as great as I hope I would like to have it in print so that I can keep it forever, if you know what I mean.  And it's a long book so its not like I can download it to the computer and print it off.  Dilemmas, dilemmas.  What would you do?  Fork over the fortune and wait a good week to get the book or instant gratification on ebook?

Buy the e-book now and WL it here on PBS immediately.   If you like it enough to be a keeper, you'll eventually get the hardback version through PBS.

If it's a book I really want, I go with ebook now.   I've been doing that with my favorite authors and wait until the hardcover is down in price in the used section or wait for it here on pbs.

Ditto what the other ladies said.  If you're wanting to read it NOW - then I'd get the e-book.  Surely you can find it cheaper (than $18) eventually at half.com or amazon, and you won't feel the pressure since you've already read it.  lol

The only problem is that it's from Ellora's cave and their books that finally do get made into paperback stay around that $18.99 pricetag.  My dilemma is if I paid $8 for the ebook and then paid for the paperback later on it would be a waste of money.  I'm on PBS because I'm supposed to be saving money!!!  The book is not even listed on PBS.  Anyone know how to put a book on WL that isn't even listed?

Tina, find the ISBN for the print version of the book.  Then, put that into the Search box (upper right corner of the page).  Make sure to omit any dashes or spaces.  Search for it and that should pull the book into the PBS system.  Since it's on Amazon, there's a good chance that'll work to get it here.

The book is Strangers by Barbara Elsborg.  I'll try that, Sarah, thanks.  In fact, just pulled it up and I'm number one on the wish list!  Could be a long time til I get it but I guess that means I can justify ebooking it.  Thanks!
