The other day I ordered from The Wild Rose Press and I noticed that on the download page it states that I still have 5 downloads.  Is that just for me or are they to share.  I am new to ebooks and was just wondering how this works.  I looked on the website and didn't see anything about this.  Anyone know?  Thanks

All I could find on the website was "the links will expire in 3 days and are limited to 2 downloads. You will not be able to download them after that."

When you buy an ebook, you're buying the right to one copy of the book.  They're not supposed to be transferred to anyone else or sold.  Not saying that that doesn't happen but technically you're not supposed to share them with someone else.

It depends on where you buy.  Sony, for instance, allows you to download your book onto up to six devices.  Once upon a time I sorted through the legalese on the site, and what I got was that you bought DRM rights to 6 copies of the book.

I don't know about Wild Rose - or if they limit the devices you can load to.  Six (or unlimited) downloads to a single device is very different than downloading to 6 devices.

Thanks, Sarah.  I was unsure because of the 4 downloads available after I downloaded mine.  Thanks again

I use them quite a bit, and I believe its individual downloads to any of your devices.
