I was posting a bookclub edition that wouldn't go through with the isbn I have and I realized that I didn't completely fill out the correct thickness measurement of the book.  I'm short by about 3/8ths of an inch. (I'm not real good with converting fractions into decimals and my DH is asleep!)

Is it too late to try to edit the info? I think it's not going to give me the correct postage cost when someone requests it.

The "Edit Book Data" link is at the bottom of every page. You'll just need to know the isbn that was assigned to the book. I'm assuming that since you were entering the information that it doesn't have a regular isbn but one of the 5 digit ones assigned by the system.

However, the postage cost is calculated using the weight of the book and not the thickness. Although it would be a good idea to correct any errors in the book data, it's the weight that's the most important.

the easiest way to edit the book data for your specific book is to go to  MY BOOKSHELF, then click on the book you want to edit the data on....on the right side of the page is a "Down Arrow", click on that and you will find a option for "Edit Book Data" that will allow you to edit the data for that book....

as far as 3/8 inch that would be .375

Dianne,

You can edit the info any time.

Remember when you wrap the book it adds to the weight so double-check that the calculator has the correct weight.

Thanks for the help - the isbn works ,but brings it up as a paperback and it's not, it's a hardcover edition.

Thanks Christy H, *wink*  .375...I'll have to remember that for furture reference.

It is not uncommon for book club editions to have the PB ISBN rather than the HC ISBN. Unfortunately this causes you to have to post it as tho it did not have an ISBN.

The good part if it is already in the system is that you can open the already posted edition aside the "post a non-ISBN, fill in the blank page" and copy paste most of the info from the current listing to the blanks. Title/author/description will be the same. Publisher/dimensions/pages will usually be different. But, every little bit that you don't have to retype is a good help :)
