This is the message I got this evening/morning as I was printing out my 'papers' for mailing later this morning. I am new here, so maybe I  missed this somewhere, but I have mailed out around 100 books so far and this is the first time I have ever seen anything like this:

"We are sorry but electronic postage is currently not available for this address."

(and I've used the electronic postage/DC with everything I've sent out so far, since I don't leave my home it makes it easier for me to print postage, wrap and then send my hubby out to drop off the packages in the blue box at the post office, versus going in)

I was wondering if anyone could explain why this happened? and what to do about it now and/or in the future.

Thanks,

--Aileene

Endicia is the postage provider for this site and sometimes this error message will appear.  Try it again after a little while.

If it continues with the same address, clear the cache in your browser, log out and back in and restart your computer before you should suspect a problem.

....WOW you only have been a member since the end of October and you have sent 100 books...that is awesome!

It happens sometimes. It's an issue with Endicia like Jub says.

Could it be an issue with Contractor deliveries for the post office.  I know some rural post offices have contractors that deliver the mail to post boxes.

Could it be that that area has a contractor covering it & that contractor doesn't have access to the post office computer system?

or perhaps an address that was 'off the grid' but legitimate?

I've had the computer system tell me that delivery confirmation was not available at an address... it was "about" a year ago. Probably the same thing as what the OP was dealing with.
