Ok. I'm in one of the Harlequin clubs and they just sent me my monthly three books (after the final Gena Showalter Darkest book, I swear I'm quitting! lol) . One of them is Overnight Male by Bevarly. I'm confused a bit. It seems to be part of a series and trilogy was mentioned but it seems that it starts with Just Like a Man and ends with this book but there are two in between, You've Got Mail and Express Male. That adds up to 4 books, not a trilogy, where I went to school. I hate this because since I have to read everything in order, I feel I should get all of the books before this one before reading it but I'm not sure which ones are correct. I did a subject search and see that many of you have read her books so maybe you can help me out with the correct order? Thanks!!!

Doesn't that stink that the publisher wouldn't make some indication of the order of the books?  You could always look at the publishing dates and judge by that.  I never liked Elizabeth Bevarly except for My Man Pendelton which was really cute.  Couldn't get past page 3 of You've Got Male.

I wondered what books went with what! I think I have the first 2 or 3 but gotta check..one story was about this principal or something at a private school and the father is an undercover agent and his son is telling the kids at school that his mother is a spy or something and was killed as a double agent...it was cute but didnt' know what followed it in that same series...

I for one think the publisher should write on the cover in plain letters 'first, second, etc' so you know what you're buying and what you need to get first or have lined up for after...but some aren't reprinted in order...I just started charlaine harris' shakespeare series and the first one says 'the first lily bard mystery' and others mentioned in the book include the other 2 I found but there are really  2 others in the 2nd and 3rd spot that weren't metnioned and only the 2nd is in print..the 3rd is a christmas title and is supposed to be reprinted in november...i'm really itching to run to border's for the 2nd but I have a huge-mongous tbr pile and figure I can at least wail til payday next wednesday..though I sure did enjoy that one once I got into it..hmmm..who wants to take a bet if I'll make a mad dash before work and get it?? :-)

lol, yeah its pretty sad when you go to the author's site and it doesn't even give you the order. You have to love Foster's site for that. Fantastic Fiction is really good about series books too but they have these listed in the Novels section, not as a series.

So You've Got Male was that bad huh? Great! lol Just what I want to hear.

You've Got Male was really bad. I suffered thru it, though. Would not recommend it to anyone.

As for order of books, Lori Foster's website is very confusing. I like Christine Feehan's or Sherrilyn Kenyon's better.

Hmmm I'm thinking maybe I'll read this one I just got quickly and put it back in the system. It's wl'd but books like that don't seem to be wl'd for long.

Thanks for the warning ladies!

LOL...I'm laughing because after the bad reviews these books got, I just saw a woman at the BB asking for a copy of Overnight Male (the one I have ). There are 42 other people with it on their WL but for some reason if you ask for a wl'd book in the BB people think they have a better chance of getting it? I don't get that but did find it funny.  I don't think I could outright ask for a wl'd book unless someone was offering it first like we do here.

Yeah that is a little bizarre.....(no pun intended).

Unless, of course, she were asking if anyone wanted to trade more than one credit for a wishlisted book.  I wonder if that's ever done?

I didn't get that impression but maybe I missed it. I could have pm'd her and asked her if she was willing to give 2 credits for my book. lol  I have never heard of that happening but it's not a bad idea. I think some of the harder to get books (erotica) would be worth 2 credits to some so they didn't have to wait so long. I know I just go buy them myself since I hate waiting.
