A very interesting fiction based on real life Empress Josephine that tries to bring to life her story starting from when she was still a young unmarried girl, to the time she died former wife of Napoleon Boneparte and Empress of France. Full of political and personal intrigue, lavish spending, adultery, and discontent. It was a surprisingly enaging story that was never boring and a quick read for all its 500 pages. Very enjoyable and highly recommended!
