I have read almost all of W.E.B. Griffin books and I keep them . If you stay in the same series you can follow the main player thru out the series. He also reference back to other books to bring the reader up to date .I find his books very enjoyable ,loaded this real facts, believable story lines. Would highly recommend this book ( and his other )to the reader that enjoy this type book .(War & Spies)
