I posted a Wish Listed book and, after making its way through the inactive members, it finally landed on someone who wanted it. It's on my Account page right now. The weird thing is that it claims that there is an RC attached to it but there is none.

The little box is up with the 'Does Meet' and 'Does Not Meet' buttons and it says "The member who has requested Love Is Blind has put the following conditions on this request:" but there's nothing under that. Quite literally, there is no RC in the box.

How should I respond to this? Accept the request and PM the member asking if they had any RC? Accept it, mail it out, and tell them there was no RC if they RWAP? Or just deny it entirely?

Accept the request, then send the other member a PM telling her that she has blank requestor conditions, so she should either go to her My Account / Settings page and put some text in the box there, or she should change the dropdown to No so that box won't show up on future requests.

This person chose 'Yes' in the drop down menu but didn't write any conditions. This is what the help docs say when you are not sure whether your books meets the RC:

If you are uncertain whether your book meets the Requestor Conditions and want to discuss this with the requestor

  • click My book meet these conditions
    • and then click PM on the request to communicate with the requestor further.
  • This should NOT be necessary--Requestor Conditions should be clear and easily interpretable without further discussion.
  • If you send a PM about the book describing it or asking for clarification of the conditions:
    • If the requestor's conditions ASKED for contact, the requestor will have to cancel if the book is not acceptable.
    • If the requestor's conditions DID NOT ASK for contact, the sender will then need to cancel if the book is not acceptable.
      • This means that the sender will need to repost the book to offer it for swapping again

If it turns out that her RC is something you can't meet (book needs to be brand new, for example), then you should cancel the request, post it again and when you get to her again, click 'book does not meet RC' and move on to the next person.

I would probably decline it and in the reasoning: put the RC box is empty.  Then they can either turn it off or add their RCS to the box.  In the meantime someone else can request the book-or it will go back to you in a more clear manner. This may save soem headach of who cancels if they do infact have RCS they want applied that you can't meet.

RCs remain attached to the transaction so it will show it was blankon the request from you. She cannot try to enforce RCs that are not there so you would be fine sending the book.

I think I'll go with Mary's advice and decline, just to save myself a headache. Thanks!
