When I get too many credits, I put my account on vacation hold.  Usually, when I remove the hold, I get 3-4 requests almost immediately.  This time, however, I removed the hold a few days ago, and since then, nothing.

Has anything changed concerning how PBS handles this?

Thanks,

Al

Like what?  You were probably near the top of the fifo line before and now you aren't on anything.  Putting books on vacation hold doesn't remove them from your place in line.

You can sort your bookshelf by wishlist (or something like that) and easily see how many of your books are being wished for, and hence will generate immediate requests when you go off hold.  I do the same as you, though when I go off hold, it's more like a dozen requests immediately!

Nothing has changed, Al.  When you're on vacation hold, you continue to move up in the sending line for your posted books.  This happens because the sending line is determined by the date you posted the book, and vacation hold retains your original posting date.  If you have a large bookshelf and a longish vacation hold, chances are that you'll be in the number one position in the sending line for some of your books when the vacation hold ends -- and some of your posted books may have even become wish list books -- but it won't necessarily happen every time.

OK, thanks.  A request came in today, so things are working OK, though I'd expect more requests.
